About UsWelcome to Sound of Nature! We are glad you are here. We are Dan and Susan Edwards, a husband and wife team along with our two adventure loving children, whose extensive nature education and musician backgrounds combine to create Sound of Nature School (SNS). We began this journey, when SNS first sprouted, as a Reggio inspired preschool for our children and others using nature, music, and art as our realms to explore and create guided by children's interests and their natural desire to learn what calls to them. SNS then grew and bloomed as we added additional offerings, due to the great interest, a series of homeschool programs immersed in the wilds and in our home music studio for ages 5-15, over the course of 5 years. Now, Sound of Nature has landed in Athens, GA near the wilds of the Oconee Rivers and creeks nestled in the hills near the music and community surrounding this magic town.
Our offerings have evolved naturally as have all of our beautiful lives, especially these past 2 years, along this ever winding journey of life and we are starting to... begin, again.
